How the Lighter program works

Two separate programmes, both official. (1) The Points Program on Lighter's main venue ran two seasons and both have ended: Season 1 closed with the final Private Beta distribution on 2025-09-30, and the docs state 'Points Season 2 ended on December 26th 2025.' No Season 3 is announced for the main venue. (2) A distinct, currently running programme, Lighter on the Robinhood Chain Points, is live: 'Points are calculated and awarded in real time based on eligible activity, with an additional weekly points drop at the end of each program period, every Friday (first weekly drop on Fri Aug 21).' Terms and Conditions took effect Monday, Aug 10th 2026. Market makers on the main venue are paid separately in LIT under the Liquidity Partner Program (weekly pool, randomized order-book snapshots roughly every minute), which is not a points system.
