Nasdaq Calypso is the platform banks, brokers and funds use to manage risk, margin and collateral; on 26 June 2025 Nasdaq said it had run end-to-end margin and collateral workflows on the Canton Network and connected the network to Calypso, in a use case built with QCP, Primrose Capital Management and Digital Asset. The stated goal is automated 24/7 margin and collateral management across crypto derivatives, fixed income, exchange-traded derivatives and OTC derivatives, so that collateral pledged at one venue can be recalled and redeployed at another instead of sitting idle.
Nasdaq's second Canton-adjacent line is its Marketplace Services group, which has been able to run Daml-driven applications since a June 2021 partnership with Digital Asset. The Canton ecosystem catalogue says that group uses Daml smart contracts for an onchain carbon credit trading solution; Puro.earth appears in the same catalogue as a client of it, issuing and registering CO2 removal certificates.
