Playground GlobalMichael KleinAgility Robotics is an American humanoid robotics and engineering company headquartered in Salem, Oregon, spun out of Oregon State University's Dynamic Robotics Lab in 2015 by Jonathan Hurst, Damion Shelton and Mikhail Jones. Its research into bipedal locomotion produced Cassie, an early biped that set a Guinness World Record for a 100-meter run by a bipedal robot, before the company released its full humanoid, Digit, in 2017.
Digit, now paired with the Arc cloud platform, works alongside customers including Amazon, Ford and GXO Logistics on warehouse, distribution and last-mile tasks, running from the company's RoboFab factory in Salem. In March 2026 the company rebranded simply as Agility, and it is pursuing a public listing through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI.
