General AtlanticICEYE is a Finnish satellite company founded in 2014 by Rafał Modrzewski and Pekka Laurila as a spin-off of Aalto University, based in Espoo. It operates the world's largest synthetic-aperture radar satellite constellation, miniaturizing SAR satellites to under 100 kilograms so they can image the Earth through clouds and in darkness for defense, intelligence and commercial customers.
Governments including Poland and Germany buy full sovereign missions from ICEYE, satellites, ground infrastructure, software and analytics together, and the company's satellite data has supported Ukraine's military since 2022. By December 2025 ICEYE had launched 62 satellites, and that same month it signed a radar data services contract with Germany worth up to €2.7 billion, its largest to date.
