What is edgeX?

edgeX is a perpetuals exchange settled through its own Edge chain, with deposit paths on Ethereum and Arbitrum. It has operated since 2024 and is backed by its own EDGE token.

Listed markets cover crypto, equities, commodities and indices across 160 perpetual contracts, with fees tiered by 14-day trading volume across a VIP ladder. No explicit identity-verification requirement is stated in its Terms of Service.

Funding settles four times a day, at fixed six-hour marks in UTC. The rate is built from a time-weighted average of the gap between contract and index price ahead of each settlement, held inside a per-market cap and paid between long and short positions — a position only exchanges funding at those settlement points, not continuously.
