Is iShares MSCI South Korea ETF trading legal in Armenia?

Spot crypto is legal and regulated: the Law on Crypto Assets (ՀՕ-159-Ն), adopted 29 May 2025, signed 23 June 2025 and in force since 4 July 2025 (amended by ՀՕ-515-Ն of 17 December 2025), regulates public offers and purchase and sale of crypto-assets, defines ten types of crypto-asset service, and hands regulation and supervision of the market to the Central Bank of Armenia. The prohibition is aimed at unlicensed providers, not at holders: a resident may own or trade spot crypto, and the Tax Code now names crypto-assets as a distinct category of property.

Article 1(3) excludes from the crypto law any crypto-asset that answers the securities-law definition of a security or a derivative financial instrument, so crypto perpetuals and CFDs are governed by the Law on the Securities Market and require investment-services authorisation.
