Bangladesh does not tolerate crypto at any layer, and the prohibition is built on foreign-exchange law. Bangladesh Bank's FE Circular No. 24 of 15 September 2022 states that the definition of "currency" in section 2(b)(i) of the Foreign Exchange Regulation (FER) Act, 1947 does not recognise virtual currencies, and that they are neither approved foreign exchange nor an approved form of transaction or investment under sections 2(aa) and 2(bb) of the same Act. On that footing the circular declares that any transaction made in, from or to Bangladesh for obtaining virtual assets or virtual currencies is not permitted, and that providing any facilitation for business, activities or operations associated with their exchange, transfer or trading is likewise not permitted.
The contract itself does not change by geography: a SKHX perpetual settles in USDC everywhere.
The legal status above rules out a trading route for SK hynix exposure from Bangladesh.
Profits from selling crypto face a flat 15% Capital Gains Tax, while mining or staking income follows standard income tax brackets of 0% to 30%.
Trading SK hynix from Bangladesh: banned.
The rule SK hynix traders in Bangladesh face: Bangladesh Bank's FE Circular No. 24 of 15 September 2022 bans obtaining, transacting in and facilitating trade of virtual currencies under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947, and the ban extends to crypto perpetual futures and CFDs.
