(NYSE: BEN) manages $1.74 trillion as of 30 April 2026 and operates in more than 35 countries. Its Benji Technology Platform is its own blockchain-integrated stack for administering token-based investments; with it the firm launched the first U.S.-registered mutual fund to use blockchain-integrated technology for processing transactions and recording share ownership, in 2021.
The firm then appeared on the other side of live trades, beyond its role as an issuer. On 1 July 2026 Franklin Templeton transferred a tokenized U.S. Treasury security to Virtu Financial in exchange for USDCx, with Tradeweb providing execution and price discovery and Canton settling both legs together; Blockdaemon, Digital Asset, Societe Generale, Tradeweb and Virtu Financial were the other participants.
Franklin Templeton is the asset manager behind Benji, and on Canton it is an issuer — the firm that puts regulated, tokenized funds on the network for other participants to hold, trade and pledge as collateral.
