What is Ostium?

Ostium is a perpetuals and synthetic-futures exchange on Arbitrum, live since 2024. It does not run its own token.

The market list covers crypto, US equities, ETFs, commodities, indices and forex across 75 pairs, priced through a one-time opening fee set per pair. No explicit identity-verification requirement is stated in its Terms of Use.

Ostium does not run a long/short funding payment between traders; it charges a rollover fee tied to the cost of carrying the underlying futures contract or reference rate, plus a small fixed markup, and one side of the market can end up collecting that fee when the underlying curve favors them. The fee accrues continuously while a position is open, with its rate refreshed once a day.
