What is Paradex?

Paradex is a perpetuals, spot and options exchange settled through its own Paradex chain, with paths on Starknet and Ethereum. It has operated since 2023 and is backed by the DIME token.

Listed perpetual markets cover crypto, equities, indices and commodities across 62 contracts, and the venue splits pricing between retail orders — placed through the web interface, at zero fee — and API-driven Pro orders, which pay a tiered schedule instead. No identity verification is explicitly required to trade or withdraw.

Funding accrues continuously and is quoted against an eight-hour reference window. The rate is built from a weighted median of price gaps measured across several venues, not Paradex alone, then smoothed and capped before being applied; a position's funding updates every time its size changes, based on how far that reference rate has moved since the last update.
